History of Kinnaur

About Kinnaur

Kinnaur is one of twelve administrative districts in india state of Himachal Pradesh, India. The district is divided into three administrative areas -Pooh, Kalpa, and Nichar-and has five tehsils.  The administrative headquarters of Kinnaur district is at Reckong Peo.  Kinnaur is about 235km (146mi) from the state capital, Shimla, located in the northeast corner of Himachal Pradesh bordering Tibet to the east.

History

Rampur, Kinnaur state Bushehr was part of the principality. It has a practice polyandry. The famous king-Pratmpal, Ctrsinh and Kehri Singh, called 'Ajan arm' name was known. November 13, 1914 the last ruler of the princely state of Bushehr Padmasinh king seated throne and ruled it until 1947. Bushehr in 1948, part of the State Union chief commissioner Himachal Pradesh. By 1960 the current Kinnaur district, tehsil mini made of Mahasu district. April 21, 1960, the sixth district of Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.
